Send me a photo and I can usually price it without coming out. Three things are all I need to give you a number.
- A photo of the carpetWhatever it actually looks like right now. The worse it is, the more useful the photo.
- Which roomsHow many, and whether stairs or a hall are in it.
- Your postcodeSo I know where you are and when I can get to you.
WhatsApp is easiest, because the photo and the message arrive together. A phone call works just as well if you would rather talk it through.
What happens on the day
A carpet gets tested before it gets cleaned. This is the order I work in, from the checks at the door to the last look round with you.
Before I start
I go through the same checks on every job:
- The carpet's condition and wear
- Stains and problem areas
- A fibre type test, so I use the right solution
- A colour fastness test
- Moisture levels
- Damage and loose fittings
- What you are expecting from the job
The seven steps
- Pre-inspectionI look over the carpet and go through anything you are concerned about.
- VacuumI lift the loose dirt and debris out first, where that is needed.
- Pre-spray treatmentA professional pre-spray, to break down dirt and stains.
- AgitationI agitate the solution to loosen the dirt further down.
- Deep extraction cleanHot water extraction, to lift out dirt, stains and allergens.
- Deodorise and sanitiseA deodoriser at the end, so the carpet is left fresh, clean and hygienic.
- Final checkI walk round the finished job with you before I pack up.
